Taking up the challenge of many before me to write about 365 memorable people whose paths have crossed mine. The form is 65 words, in honor of the number of years spent running into them.

247/365: Tipper Gore
Does shaking someone’s hand qualify as “knowing them”? Tipper Gore gave a talk to a group of PFLAG people in Washington, DC and afterwards she shook hands with many of us. My friend talked to her about her gay son’s suicide. I just thanked her for coming to meet with the group
There was a guy named Dan who decided to write an entry a day about people who had been part of his life. At one time there was a link to his blog, but it has now disappeared, but I DID find this link: http://www.logolalia.com/40x365/ which explains it in greater detail.
The project sounded interesting, so I decided to do it. Dan was 40 when he started his project, so he wrote 40 words about each person. I was 65 when I started the project, so I wrote 65 words about each person. They were ranked in no particular order.
I'm sorry that the original project is no longer on the net; I was enjoying reading the lists of other people...and I don't get credit for having actually finished this project now!
